Bundles can be a great way to package your resources and offer Buyers a discount on purchases with multiple components.
The best way to make one is by using the TPT Bundle feature. To make a new TPT bundle, follow the steps below:
-
Go to your Seller Dashboard
-
Click “Add new product”
-
Select “Bundle of resources”
-
Fill out the fields on the page and select the resources you’d like included in your bundle.
-
You’ll need to affirm that your materials do not infringe the copyrights, trademark rights, or any other rights of a third party.
-
Note the “Make Product Active” checkmark box that makes your product available to Buyers right away.
-
Click the “Create Bundle” button at the bottom of the page.
You can also turn an existing resource into a TPT Bundle from your product listings by clicking the Upgrade Bundles button. TPT bundles can be made up of at least 2, but no more than 400, individually listed resources or bundles in your store. Your bundle will automatically update whenever you make an update to an individually included resource.
For additional guidance about TPT Bundles please see our help pages here.
Alternatively, you can make a bundle by combining multiple resource files together into a single ZIP file to post. Here are directions to make a ZIP file. Below are best practices to keep in mind for bundles made without the TPT Bundle feature:
Be clear in your resource descriptions. It’s important that all educators (and TPT) can easily tell which individual resource listings are included in your bundled resource, and which bundle contains an individual resource. This will help teachers make an informed purchase decision, and understand what content they may have already purchased in the past. It will also allow TPT’s Customer Experience team to verify your bundle information in case of refunding duplicate purchases. To provide this clarity, we ask that you list the following information at or near the top of your product description (Don’t worry — because this information adds clarity to your product description, it won’t negatively impact your search results):
- Bundle Resource Listings: Provide titles and hyperlinks (see this article for help on how to do that) to the individual resource listings included.
- Individual Resource Listings: Provide the title and hyperlink to the bundle containing that individual resource.
Be aware of TPT’s refund policy. Under TPT's refund policy, we’ll approve a refund request for a Buyer who has purchased “duplicate” material, as long as the purchase to be refunded was made within the last year. This includes refunding a Buyer’s original purchase of content that is included in a subsequent bundle purchase. Before we approve a refund, we’ll verify that the previously purchased resource or resources are part of the purchased bundle. If we’re not able to make that verification on our own based on your bundle’s product description, we’ll reach out to you for clarification. In order to ensure timely resolution, we’ll need to hear back from you within 24 hours. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll issue the refund. Here’s a link to our refund policy in case you’d like to learn more.
Be conscious of your pricing. Your work is valuable! Discounting for bulk purchases is a great way to attract educators, but be careful of overly discounting your bundles. Also remember that TPT will refund Buyers for duplicate purchases within one year, so folks may buy a bundle and then ask for a refund on previous individual resource purchases to get the overall bundle discount.
