A PDF (Portable Document Format) file is a document format commonly used to share, view, and print resources. Many resources on TPT are provided as PDF files because they display consistently across different devices and operating systems.
In most cases, PDF files can be viewed and printed, but they cannot be fully edited. If a resource or PDF file is editable, the Teacher-Author will share this information on the product page.
If you prefer purchasing editable formats, look for resources that offer other file types (like Word or PowerPoint) instead. You can also specify "editable" in the search bar when you search the site for resources. Some PDFs are semi-editable, meaning that you will be able to add text boxes but not change the layout or background. PDFs are best viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download for free from the Adobe website by clicking here.
