You can use links in Easel Activities to navigate between pages, open external websites, or remove links from text and images.
Create an internal link
You can create an internal link in Easel by using the Add link tool to connect text or images to another page within the same Easel Activity. This allows you to build navigation between pages, such as a table of contents or interactive “Choose Your Own Adventure” activities.
If you’d like to create a link that directs users to a different page within your Easel Activity, please:
- Select the text box or image that you want to create a link for.
- Select the “Add link” tool.
- Enter the page number or manually select the page and click “Apply.”
Create an external link
You can add links to other websites within your Easel Activities in just a few easy steps:
- Select the text box or image that you want to create a link for.
- Select the “Add link” tool.
- Copy/paste the URL and click “Apply.”
Note: If you add a link to text, the link will apply to the entire text box – you cannot add a link to a single word or phrase within a text box.
Remove a link
You can remove a link from text or an image in an Easel Activity by editing the linked object and deleting the existing link. To remove a link or unlink an image, please follow the steps below:
- Select the text box or image that you want to remove the link from.
- Select the “Add link” tool.
- Click the trash can icon to remove the link.
You have now successfully removed the link from your Easel Activity!
