School Pool mode is a fund distribution option that allows all teachers at your school to access a shared bank of School Express funds. Instead of funds being allocated to teachers individually, the total balance is available for all teachers to use for purchases. You can switch your school to School Pool mode from the “Manage Roster” section of the TPT School Express homepage.
When School Pool mode is active, the product page will show the total balance of funds available for your entire school as “School Pool funds.”
Please note that once you’ve switched to School Pool mode, all teachers will be able to purchase resources from the shared bank of funds. We recommend communicating that clearly with teachers and setting expectations to ensure fair and considerate use.
You’ll see the current balance of School Pool funds on the product page and by hovering your mouse over the school icon at the top-right corner of your account. This balance is live and will change as other teachers make purchases.
To switch to School Pool mode, please:
- Visit the People tab on the TPT School Express homepage by clicking on your profile icon on the top right of the screen and then selecting “TPT School Express.”
- Click “Manage Roster.”
- Select “Switch to School Pool” on the bottom left of the “Manage Roster” modal.
- Confirm the switch by clicking “Yes, switch to School Pool.”
Please note that only Primary Admins can switch the distribution method for their school.
If you choose to switch back to Individual Allocation, you will need to redistribute funds to each teacher. You can switch by selecting “Switch to individual allocation” in the bottom left corner of the “Manage Roster” modal.
