You'll receive an email from us with an explanation and instructions on how to submit a W-9 if we need one from you.
We don't have to collect a W-9 from everyone. To comply with IRS regulations, TpT collects this information and issues 1099-K forms to TpT Teacher-Authors who have had sales of more than $20,000 this year. If that's you, you should look out for an email from us. If you're not in that category, you won't get these tax documents from us this year.
If you think you've crossed this threshold or that you will by the end of the year and you haven't heard from us, contact us and we'll be happy to double check.
Regardless of whether you get a tax form from us or not, it's important to understand your tax reporting needs, and while TpT can't provide any tax advice, we strongly recommend that all of our Teacher-Authors talk to tax professionals to better understand how to report their taxes.
If you need access to your TpT sales and expense details, please check your Sales Details report or your annual Sales & Earnings Statement on your Dashboard.
